Need some help getting into the holiday season? Look no further than Sacramento Theatre Company’s A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story. Families gathered on this rainy day to enjoy the haunting Christmas tale and left fully entertained and ready to start the holiday season.

A Christmas Carol starts in the frigid office of “Scrooge and Marley” with Ebenezer Scrooge and Bob Cratchit working hard on Christmas Eve. After working all day Scrooge gets back to his home where he is visited by the ghost of his former coworker, Jacob Marley, who warns that he must change his ways. Additionally, Marley warns Scrooge that three ghosts will visit him later that night. The first ghost, the Ghost of Christmas Past, takes Scrooge on an adventure through time to the wonderful Christmases of the past. Then the Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge what his family and employee do on that Christmas Day. Finally, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows Scrooge what is to come if he does not change his ways.

The Sacramento Theatre Company is celebrating their 25th Anniversary of their rendition of A Christmas Carol, as well as Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday. This is definitely a reason to celebrate and STC held nothing back as they presented a chilling and heart warming tale of Christmas. With wonderful costumes, enchanting musical numbers, and flawless choreography the Sacramento Theatre Company left the audience in awe, as the applause continued well past the curtain call.

Performances take place Wednesdays 7pm; Thursdays 12:30pm & 7pm; Fridays 7pm; Saturdays 2pm & 7pm; Sundays 7pm through December 23, 2012. Tickets are available online or by calling (916) 446-7501.
