All your favorite superheroes and villains battle for control of the universe in Sacramento’s debut of Marvel Universe Live! at Sleep Train Arena.
Okay, folks. It’s finally here. You know all those Disney on Ice shows your daughters have begged to go to? Those same shows you’ve had to drag your sons to, hoping the pink princesses would keep it on the down low? Well, there’s finally something for the boys that they will absolutely love. Debuting in Sacramento this weekend, is Marvel Universe Live! at Sleep Train Arena.
This exciting, fist-pumping, live action show brings together 25 of your favorite superheroes and villains as they battle for the cosmic cube, the source of ultimate power that everyone wants to get their hands on. The show begins with Thor, one of mythology’s greatest superheroes and Nordic heir to the throne of Asgard, as he obliterates the cosmic cube into a million pieces in order to save the universe from the power source falling into the wrong hands. He underestimates his evil brother Loki, however, as he uses the scattered fragments in a scheme to clone the cube’s powers. And the battle between good and evil begins.
Marvel doesn’t hesitate to pull out all the stops in this battle to save the universe. There are fire and explosions; Amazing acrobatics as our favorite characters climb tall buildings and fly through the air; even Death-defying stunts, martial art battles and motocross races. But it’s not all special effects. Superheroes and villains stay true to their personalities with witty one-liners from the likes of Ironman and Spider-Man; Black Widow and Storm use both brains and brawn; and Wolverine shows up as his usual gruff self while trying to help Bruce Banner keep his temper from spiraling out of control (which of course, it does!). All in all, the production was spectacular, ending with a captivating, make believe battle to save the universe.
Want to see this epic adventure for yourself? Marvel Universe Live! will continue to wow audiences through March 15 at Sleep Train Arena. For tickets and showtimes, visit its Sacramento365.com event page.
